With its central location on the West Coast of Jutland and direct access to the North Sea, the Harbour of Thorsminde affords excellent possibilities for activities along the full length of the coast, especially for professionals within the offshore business operating service and supply vessels.
The planned coastal wind turbine farms of ‘Vesterhav Nord’ and ‘Vesterhav Syd’ are both a short distance, respectively north and south, of Thorsminde Harbour.
Thorsminde is a smaller harbour with a group of very flexible employees, keen to help and find solutions, should a problem arise.
It is still a working fishing harbour, which, during the last few years, has seen a reduction in the number of smaller fishing vessels, for the benefit of fewer, larger and more effective boats.
As a consequence a whole section of the harbour is available, including amble quay space and outdoor areas for storing of material, as well as stores, workshop and office facilities.
Services on the harbour include ship repair, bunkering and provisioning.
The harbour is accessible around the clock, and the water depth at the entrance and foremost part is 5 metres, whereas the southerly basins have a depth of 3 metres.
A duty officer is on call 24 hours, via telephone.
