Thorsminde Harbor’s location directly to the North Sea, in the middle of Jutland’s west coast, provides good opportunities to utilize the direct route to the North Sea’s activities, for players within service and supply in the offshore industry.
The port has the shortest distance to the upcoming offshore wind farm THOR located only 20 km. West of Thorsminde. The designated coastal offshore wind farms Vesterhav Syd and Vesterhav Nord are also located a short distance, north and south of Thorsminde Harbor.
The Port of Thorsminde is a smaller and very flexible port with a large development potential and a high level of service. The port is an active fishing port, where the development in the fishing industry has resulted in a reduction in the fishing fleet for fewer, but larger and more efficient vessels. It has freed up quay and harbor areas, and the harbor can therefore offer an entire harbor section with quay facilities and areas for offshore projects with the possibility of its own closed area. On the area there is the possibility of establishing O&M, helipad, warehouse, workshops, office facilities and storage of equipment.
At the port, there is the possibility of servicing, within ship repairs, bunkering and provisions.
The harbor can be sailed around the clock, and the water depth in the entrance sector and the harbor is 5.00 meters, and in the southern basins 3.00 meters.
The telephone is on call – around the clock.
